Job summary
Whisker is redefining how people live with cats through advanced embedded systems for smart pet products. The Lead Engineer will architect and implement firmware for high-performance motor control and sensor subsystems, collaborating with cloud teams to enable secure IoT data flows.
You’ll drive code quality, testing, and documentation in a fast-paced hardware environment. Required: a BS in EE/CE and 5+ years of embedded firmware experience with C/C++, RTOS, microcontrollers, and hardware
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with low-level firmware development for embedded systems.
- In-depth understanding of embedded firmware design principles, patterns and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Architects and implements technical solutions on embedded systems for IoT pet products.
- Collaborates with AWS cloud engineering team on data management solutions.
- Manages code release process for embedded team.
- Conducts code reviews across multiple teams.
- Performs integration and system-level testing.
