The role requires hands-on firmware work, collaboration with firmware, BSP, camera, display, hardware, applications, QA, and silicon/vendor teams. The ideal candidate has deep experience in Android multimedia, codec integration, and low-latency video pipelines, with a strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field is required
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred
• Embedded Android/Linux multimedia software development and debugging, with strong C/C++ expertise
• Android video architecture, Codec2, AIDL/HIDL concepts, media codec configuration, video HAL/vendor extensions
• Hardware video encode/decode bring-up and debug for low-latency paths
• Camera-to-video, display output, graphics/display interaction, and Linux multimedia pipeline experience
• Hardware video codec/VPU integration — H.264/H.265/HEVC, VP9, AV1, low-latency
• Embedded Linux/Android debugging using C/C++, adb, logs, traces

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on video platform integration, bring-up and release readiness across Android multimedia stack
• Drive root-cause analysis, code-level troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production hardening
• Provide architectural direction for Android/Linux video platforms, including low-latency streaming
• Define and execute validation strategy, automation, regression coverage and multi-session releases
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional coordination
