Kansas Fire & Rescue Training Institute (KU Lifelong and Professional Education) seeks a lead/assistant instructor or safety officer to deliver a range of fire service programs at KU. The role collaborates with program coordinators and reports to a dedicated training program manager.

This is a temporary, hybrid assignment with a 999-hour annual cap. Required qualifications include a high school diploma with five years of progressive fire service training experience, ICS 100/200, and appropriate

Qualificações

• High school diploma plus five years of progressive experience in fire service training.
• ICS S100 and S200 certification or equivalent.
• Two years of fire and emergency services instructional experience (80 hours per year).
• IFSAC and/or Pro Board Firefighter I & II certification or equivalent.
• IFSAC and/or Pro Board Certification in the subject(s) to be taught, if applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide temporary assistance across research, project, or program work and grant support.
• Deliver KFRTI training programs as lead instructor, assistant instructor, or safety officer (if qualified).
• Coordinate with program coordinators and managers; report to a training program coordinator or manager.
