Job summary

Arora Engineers in Irving, TX is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to lead FLS system design for diverse facilities. You will develop water-based fire protection layouts, ensure code compliance, and coordinate with architecture, structure, and project teams to meet client needs.

Candidates should hold a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in fire protection, and familiarity with NFPA 13/14/20/24, AutoCAD, Revit, and HydraCAD/SprinkCalc. PE licensure or EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 5+ years’ FLS experience.
Strong NFPA 13, 14, 20, 24 knowledge and updates.
Familiar with NFPA 25,30,72,92,101,110,130,415,502 and 2001.
AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office proficiency.
Hydraulic modeling with HydraCAD or SprinkCalc.

Responsibilities

Prepare technically accurate documents meeting code requirements.
Develop and analyze fire protection system designs for facilities.
Coordinate Fire Protection with architecture, structure and systems.
Conduct site surveys, submittals, RFIs, and punch lists.
Communicate with clients, vendors, and authorities having jurisdiction.
QA/QC of FLS designs.
