Job summary

Alert Holdings Group LLC, on Oahu and other islands, seeks a Lead Inspection Technician to supervise fire system inspections, mentor technicians, and ensure quality and safety. You will inspect and test fire alarms, coordinate with authorities, and prepare reports and repair recommendations.

You will travel to customer sites, assist in scheduling, and model best practices in safety and efficiency. Wages start at $45+/hour with benefits and relocation support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3+ years of fire alarm and/or fire suppression inspection experience.
• NICET Level II or higher in Inspection and Testing of Fire Protection Systems or Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
• Proven ability to train, coach, and guide other technicians.
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes for inspection and testing (NFPA 10, 25, 72).
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire alarm, fire suppression system, and fire extinguisher inspections and tests to NFPA standards.
• Coordinate with the local fire department before testing to avoid a false response.
• Complete accurate NFPA inspection and testing reports for each customer.
• Repair systems when possible or report needed repairs to the Service Department.
• Review inspection results with the customer and prepare deficiency repair estimates.
• Train new and current technicians on inspection methods and NFPA requirements.
• Lead larger inspections with multiple technicians and keep the job on schedule.
• Review peers’ inspection reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Model safe work practices and report safety concerns.
• Collaborate on scheduling, workload, and parts or tool needs.
