Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Lead Fire Alarm Installer to install and certify life safety systems in accordance with NFPA and local codes. You will lead a field team, review drawings, perform tests, and coordinate with engineers and site contacts.

The role requires at least 3 years in the fire alarm industry, electrical experience, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license. Pay is $30 per hour with weekly pay, and a company vehicle where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of Fire Alarm industry experience.
• Electrical experience required.
• NICET certification in Fire Alarm Technology is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Experience leading teams on projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment according to NFPA and life safety codes.
• Lead field team and coordinate activities.
• Review blueprints, determine device locations, and verify materials match scope.
• Conduct functional tests and NFPA-compliant documentation.
• Maintain records and provide weekly status to management.
