Job summary

Timberlab is seeking a Finger Joint Technician to own and operate the finger joint production line at our Millersburg, OR facility. You will set up, troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain equipment for lumber scanning, defect removal, finger joint machining, adhesive application, pressing, and RF curing.

You will drive process performance, train operators, and uphold safety, quality, uptime, and productivity within the work center.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or wood products experience.
• Experience operating RF curing systems, presses, or adhesives systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving.
• Ability to train and lead machine operators.
• Ability to read technical documents and specs.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain RF curing systems, press, and adhesive systems.
• Monitor press cycles, curing parameters, bond quality.
• Optimize pressing and curing to maximize throughput.
• Lead setup, startup, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
• Train and mentor machine operators.
• Track performance and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with other teams to improve performance.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance.
• Maintain production and maintenance records.
• Support safety and waste reduction initiatives.
• Cross-train across work centers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
