Job summary

ROARK in Southern California is seeking a hands-on Controller to take ownership of the accounting function, establish financial discipline and controls, and support growth across a multi-site operation.

You will lead a small accounting team, modernize processes, accelerate month-end close, improve budgeting and cash-flow management, and own external reporting and covenant requirements. Compensation: $165,000-$185,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Significant accounting leadership experience at Controller level.
• Hands-on background with financial reporting and transactional details.
• Experience overseeing month-end close, reporting, AP/AR, and cash flow.
• Ability to drive budgeting/forecasting improvements and process modernization.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the accounting function and establish financial discipline, reporting cadence, and controls for a multi-site $20M-$50M organization.
• Lead and develop a three-person accounting team and remain hands-on when needed.
• Modernize processes and systems to reduce manual work and improve data accessibility.
• Drive a faster, disciplined month-end close and better leadership reporting.
• Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and working capital visibility.
• Improve site-level financial accountability across locations and manage external relationships with the CPA.
• Coordinate monthly financial presentations and covenant monitoring with banking partners.
