Job summary

Galatea Associates, LLC is seeking a Lead Financial Software Consultant to shape and lead our growing team. The role blends hands-on software development with technical and people leadership, architecting solutions and mentoring junior consultants to deliver complex projects from planning to delivery.

You will work on cloud-native investment accounting platforms, partnering with clients and stakeholders to drive end-to-end delivery while expanding your financial services expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience leading a scrum team of 2–5 engineers and mentoring junior consultants.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems, high-throughput and near-real-time workloads.
• Knowledge of finance, capital markets, and investment accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and end-to-end delivery of complex solutions for a team of 2–5 consultants.
• Lead and mentor junior consultants to support team growth.
• Build and manage client relationships, translating requirements into practical solutions.
• Develop financial industry expertise to better serve client needs.
