Job summary

Talentify in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to lead the financial reporting team within Corporate Accounting. You will supervise the preparation of monthly financial statements, oversee GAAP-compliant reporting, and coordinate with auditors to meet deadlines.

The role requires a Bachelor in Accounting or Finance, 8 years of experience, strong Excel and communication skills, and CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with substantial accounting experience in financial reporting.
• Experience researching complex accounting issues.
• Experience auditing or as a primary audit contact.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Expertise in Excel and advanced MS Office skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to lead projects and manage change strategically.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and AP corrections.
• Oversee monthly close and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Coordinate with auditors and prepare audit deliverables.
• Guide GAAP accounting procedures and disclosures.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Supervise and coach accounting staff; conduct performance reviews and hiring.
