Job summary

Baptist Health, a leading healthcare system in central Alabama, is seeking a Financial Clearance Analyst, Team Lead. This role oversees the end-to-end financial clearance process, including scheduling, verification, authorizations, and insurance coordination.

You will guide staff and ensure compliant patient access workflows while supporting denial analysis and process improvements. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma (degree preferred) and at least 2 years in healthcare business office

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare business office settings.
• Hospital revenue cycle experience preferred; cash collections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accounts are financially cleared prior to service.
• Perform scheduling, insurance verification, price estimation, and authorizations.
• Handle pre-certification and medical necessity assessments.
• Maintain knowledge of third-party payer regulations and guidelines.
• Determine benefit and coverage levels and connect patients with financial assistance.
• Supervise the Financial Clearance team and participate in denial analysis.
