Job summary

California State University, Long Beach seeks an Assistant Director of Financial Aid Operations & Processing to lead and coordinate complex financial aid processing tasks. The role supervises counselors and coordinators, helps set operational policy, and ensures equitable, student-centered service delivery across the office.

The position is temporary for 1 year, with full-time workload and a focus on improving workflow, accuracy, and customer experience within the Financial Aid department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, guidance, human relations, or related field.
• Three years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas required.
• Prior experience in Financial Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and coordination of workflow for financial aid processing programs.
• Supervise and coordinate the financial aid counselor/program coordinators and build an effective team.
• Contribute to policy development and ensure compliant, equitable service delivery.
