**Job Description Summary**

This role is with ERAC, Employers Reassurance Corporation, a corporate holding of GE Aerospace. We are a reinsurance company supporting long-term care insurance, structured settlements, life insurance, and other insurance products. The role involves driving compliance with US GAAP and Statutory accounting standards, managing financial and operational internal controls, simplifying processes, and achieving operational excellence to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of key business drivers and how their work integrates with other teams.

**Job Description**

**Roles and Responsibilities:**

1. Prepare quarterly and annual Statutory Accounting Practices (SAP) and GAAP financial statements, including detailed analysis, schedules, and disclosures.
2. Prepare NAIC financial statement schedules, exhibits, and other regulatory filings.
3. Reconcile accounts for GAAP and STAT accounting bases.
4. Prepare routine monthly/quarterly journal entries.
5. Develop in-depth knowledge of the discipline, applying prior experience and expertise to execute policies and strategies.
6. Support internal and external audits.
7. Communicate effectively with colleagues and business units, providing guidance and explaining complex information clearly.
8. Impact projects, processes, and procedures within the field, operating with some autonomy while following standard practices.
9. Use technical expertise and judgment to solve problems, leveraging internal sources and analytics.

**Required Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college.
• At least 2 years of experience in financial services.

**Desired Characteristics:**

• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Ability to document, plan, and execute programs with project management skills.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
