Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Lead, Finance Capital Planning to join our team. The role oversees the financial management of the enterprise capital project portfolio and capital plan, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for capital costs and benefits.

You will work with stakeholders across the company and present results to senior leaders. The position requires building financial models, managing capitalization processes, and guiding project managers on financial value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 7 years of accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, or financial analysis experience.
• Experience supporting IT organizations or large‑scale technology initiatives.
• Experience with financial data and understanding results.
• Experience with general and project-specific financial models and advanced Excel formulas.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software and financial planning tools preferred.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Administer capitalization tracking and advise on capitalization decisions with Accounting.
• Coordinate with IT and EPMO for invoice accruals and capitalized assets.
• Develop processes for identifying in-service dates for capitalized assets and input to fixed asset accounting.
• Coordinate project budgets and forecasts; support project managers and consolidate budgets.
• Provide financial guidance to project managers on benefits and ROI/NPV metrics.
• Develop annual capital plan and forecasting, including operating expenses within capital budgets.
• Track actual project and capital spend and reporting.
• Lead financial reporting to Senior Leadership and stakeholders.

Overview

Lumicera Health Services is seeking a Lead, Finance Capital Planning to join our team.

The Lead, Finance Capital Planning is responsible for the financial management of the enterprise capital project portfolio and capital plan for the assigned company. The role will oversee and maintain the system of accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for capital project costs and benefits as well as the budgeting and reporting on the overall capital plan. The position will work with key stakeholders and partners in various areas within the assigned company and will present and report on results and issues to senior leaders on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Administer the process for tracking capitalization of spending in accordance with the enterprise capitalization policy as set by the Accounting Department. Provide input to monthly journal entries. Provide advice and consulting on capitalization decisions, working with the Accounting Department as needed.
• Working with EPMO and IT, provide input to the Accounting Department for invoice accruals.
• Develop and administer the process for identifying in-service dates for capitalized assets and provide input to the Accounting Department for fixed asset accounting.
• Coordinate the development of project budgets and forecasts. Provide guidance, support and oversight to project managers and consolidate budgets and forecasts for reporting.
• Provide guidance and financial support to project managers and business owners to assist with identification and quantification of project benefits and financial value metrics (ROI, NPV, etc.).
• Develop annual capital plan and forecasting, including incorporating operating expense component of capital projects into financial budget and financial forecasts.
• Manage the tracking of actual project spend and tracking of other capital spend.
• Develop/redesign project and capital plan financial reporting. Lead financial reporting to various stakeholders including Senior Leadership Team.
• Provide reporting and support to the Strategic Transformation Office as needed.
• Lead presentation of results and discussions at monthly Capital Finance Review.
• Drive identification, tracking, and reporting of actual financial benefits derived from project and capital investments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 7 years’ experience in accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, or financial analysis required.
• Demonstrated experience supporting IT organizations or large‑scale technology initiatives.
• Experience working with financial data and understanding results required.
• Experience in creating general financial models as well as complex project-specific financial models and working with advanced Excel formulas required.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software and financial planning tools preferred.
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
