Job summary

National Grid is hiring a Lead Finance Business Partner in a hybrid role serving the US Customer organization. You will provide commercial acumen, challenge strategic and financial priorities, and deliver financial guidance to enable informed decisions that improve operating and capital performance.

The role focuses on operating expense with an understanding of capital expenditures, partnering with senior leaders to align investments with business strategy and value requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Broad range of financial, management and business modelling experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong commercial acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong Excel skills with ability to summarize insights for a senior audience.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial acumen and guidance to Customer leadership.
• Challenge strategic and financial priorities to enable decisions.
• Deliver financial guidance and insight to improve operating and capital performance.
• Focus on operating expenses with understanding of capital expenditures where applicable.
• Partner with leadership to develop business cases and ensure investments align with strategy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with US Customer leaders and finance teams.
• Contribute to short- and long-term forecasting and planning across activities.
• Understand US regulatory structure and IFRS/GAAP implications together with regulators.
