Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Lead Finance Analyst who will focus on analysis, forecasting, and reporting to drive performance, increase financial transparency, and serve our business clients in Cleveland. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field and 2+ years of analytical experience, with strong skills in Excel and finance systems such as Workday, TM1, Tableau.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the segment in daily financial management activities.
  • Coordinating and participating in LOB and product-level financial forecasting and planning.
  • Leverage ad-hoc financial performance analysis to assist business partners in strategic decision-making and understanding drivers behind profit/loss outcomes.
  • Maintain and update organizational hierarchy structure (i.e. cost centers, channels, markets) that best reflects the management of the business and facilitates reporting.
  • Partner with team members, business line leadership, product teams, and finance peers/management in Treasury and Accounting on daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks.
  • Provide financial guidance and supporting financial evaluations of proposed initiatives and technology investments via: gathering assumptions, preparing financial projections, and measuring profitability including ROE/ROA/ROBC.
  • Provide guidance and act as the liaison between the line of business and selected partners relative to financial performance.
  • Provide proactive ideas, advice, and financial modeling for strategic plans, forecasts, performance management, incentive compensation, and product profitability.
  • Providing accurate and insightful financial reporting, including but not limited to volumes, balance sheet, and income statement drivers.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Access)
  • Experience working with financial system reporting environments (i.e. Workday, IBM TM1, Tableau, Oracle Essbase, etc.)
Technical/Business Acumen
  • Detail oriented with the ability to thoroughly analyze and resolve issues with limited direction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively
  • Passion for continuous improvement especially related to process, accuracy, and details
  • Proactive and effective communicator – strong verbal and written communication skills and willingness to express opinions and consult with others
