Job summary

Eversource Energy in New Hampshire is seeking an experienced technician to provide direction and perform system-wide protective relay tasks, including installation, testing, maintenance and repair of relaying equipment.

The role covers IEDs, electromechanical and solid-state relays, SCADA, IEC 61850 systems, HMIs, DFRs and PLCs, with emphasis on safe work practices, training staff, and coordinating with vendors across MA/CT/NH as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronic/Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to personnel on system-wide protective relay projects.
• Plan and perform installation, testing, maintenance and/or repair of protective relay systems/equipment.
• Train and supervise department staff; plan, schedule and review work.
• Ensure safe and timely completion of all assignments.
• Interface with vendors and other departments; develop improved procedures as needed.
