CLEAResult in Edison, New Jersey, is seeking a hands-on Field Technician to lead a crew delivering residential energy efficiency upgrades across New Jersey. This role combines field work with leadership, coaching technicians, owning job quality, and driving program participation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in home improvement or skilled trades (weatherization, HVAC, insulation, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of home systems and residential construction
• Proven ability to lead or mentor others (formal or informal)
• A player/coach mindset – willing to work hands-on while leading a crew
• Problem solver who takes ownership and drives results
• BPI Certification (a plus, not required)

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front – oversee and work alongside a crew of technicians performing residential upgrades (insulation, air sealing, efficiency improvements)
• Coach and develop your team – train technicians on best practices, safety, and quality standards
• Own job quality and productivity – ensure projects are completed correctly, efficiently, and to program standards
• Solve real‑world problems – troubleshoot installation challenges and recommend practical solutions on-site
• Represent the company in the field – build trust with homeowners and partners while driving program participation
• Track and communicate progress – document work, capture inspection results, and keep operations teams informed
