Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking a NETA Level III Electrical Testing Technician to join our field services team in the United States. You will conduct testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical power distribution equipment across commercial, industrial, utility, and mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities include leading testing tasks, interpreting results, and mentoring junior technicians while adhering to NETA and NFPA 70E safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical testing, commissioning and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with LV/MV electrical power distribution equipment.
• Capable of testing independently and supervising junior technicians.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, protective relays, cables, CTs/PTs and associated equipment.
• Perform insulation resistance, contact resistance, breaker timing, TTR, power factor and primary/secondary injection tests.
• Interpret test results, one-lines, schematics and technical documentation.
• Complete accurate field-service and test reports.
• Lead and support junior technicians while maintaining NETA and NFPA 70E safety standards.
