Job summary

The Lead Systems Engineering Technician at Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics in Groton, CT provides onsite complex technical support for maintenance, repairs, modifications, equipment setup, and testing for our TIH program.

U.S. Citizenship is required and an active or obtainable DOD security clearance is necessary. The role involves troubleshooting, training customers, and delivering technical solutions with a high degree of professionalism, with flexible shifts up to 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with laptop and MS Office applications.
• FOA CFOT certification preferred; field experience considered in lieu of certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite complex technical support for maintenance, repairs, modifications, equipment setup, and testing.
• Lead and mentor lower-level technicians where needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment using drawings and documentation; prepare detailed service reports.
