Job summary

Inline USA is seeking a skilled Survey Crew Chief to provide on-site leadership for our field crews in Yellow Pine, Idaho. This role oversees day-to-day project execution, safety performance, quality assurance, scheduling, and strong client relations.

You will operate advanced survey equipment, perform layouts, and prepare detailed reports using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. The position follows a rotating schedule (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off or similar FIFO) with on-site work and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of surveying experience and bachelor’s degree in surveying/Geomatics, related post-secondary education, or equivalent field experience.
• Dependable, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Certified UAV Pilot.
• Licensed Idaho Land Surveyor considered an asset.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and walk 10-12 hours per day in varying weather and terrain.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Safety first, always - Take an active role in site safety meetings, strictly follow all site-specific requirements, and lead by example to promote safe work practices.
• High-tech fieldwork - Operate advanced survey equipment like total stations, GPS, and laser scanners to gather highly accurate field data.
• Hands-on surveying - Perform layout, construction, and as-built surveys; assist with excavation, backfill, and placement of underground utilities, foundations, roads, and subgrade materials.
• Technical Reporting - Prepare detailed survey reports, sketches, and field notes; support data deliverables using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
