Job summary

Inline USA in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Laborer/Survey Assistant to support field crews in day-to-day project execution, safety, QA, scheduling, and client relations. This role follows a 2-weeks-on/2-weeks-off rotation, with on-site presence for the full shift.

You will assist with equipment setup and maintenance, install survey stake lines and monuments, and help maintain vehicles. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required; candidates should be dependable and able to

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a survey assistant or diploma in surveying/Geomatics, related post-secondary education, or equivalent field experience.
  • Dependable, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and walk 10–12 hours per day in varying weather and terrain.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to take direction, listen carefully, learn quickly, and apply instruction from supervisors effectively.

In this role, you’ll assist Surveyors with daily safety paperwork and help maintain compliance with all site‑specific safety requirements. By staying alert, engaged, and proactive in the field, you’ll contribute to a team culture where everyone looks out for one another and works safely every day.
  • Deliver Reliable Field Support - You’ll play an essential role in daily survey operations — assisting with equipment set‑up, tear‑down, and maintenance to ensure crews are prepared for accurate and efficient fieldwork. Your attention to detail will help ensure tools are functioning properly and ready for each task.
  • Execute Hands‑On Installation & Site Tasks - Working under the supervision of Surveyors, you’ll install survey stake lines and survey control monuments with precision. You will provide general labour support as required to keep projects progressing smoothly.
  • Maintain Equipment & Vehicles - You’ll help ensure survey vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, organized, and handled with care. Your diligence in upkeep supports operational efficiency and company assets.

Job description

Inline USA is seeking a skilled and experienced Laborer/Survey Assistant to provide support to our field crews in Idaho. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day project execution, safety performance, quality assurance, scheduling, and strong client relations.

This position follows a 2‑weeks‑on / 2‑weeks‑off rotation. While on rotation, the Laborer/Survey Assistant is expected to be on‑site for the full duration of the shift and available to support operational requirements as scheduled.

This is a safety‑sensitive position. Final candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check as part of the pre‑employment screening process. Final candidates may also be required to complete post‑offer drug and alcohol testing and a fit‑for‑duty assessment in accordance with federal and state laws.

Final candidates may be required to complete a post‑offer background check consistent with federal and state law. Background checks are conducted only with the candidate’s written authorization and may include employment verification, education verification, and criminal history checks as permitted by law.
