Job summary

Civil Science is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field survey operations in eastern and southern Idaho. You will supervise one- to two-person crews, perform construction staking, boundary, topographic, and design surveys, and use Trimble GPS and robotic total stations to deliver high-quality data.

The role involves collaboration with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients, mentoring junior staff, and occasional travel to supported sites in Twin Falls or Idaho

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional survey field experience.
  • Experience leading survey crews or managing field operations.
  • Proficiency with Trimble GPS, robotic total stations, and related tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field survey crews on transportation, infrastructure, and public works projects across Idaho.
  • Perform construction staking, boundary, topographic, and design surveys with Trimble gear.
  • Collect, process, and verify survey data ensuring quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver projects.
