Job summary

SAM is seeking a Staff Surveyor to oversee field crews and technicians on large-scale land surveying projects, ensuring work is completed on time and to scope. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Project Surveyors, and other teams to coordinate deliverables.

As a licensed Professional Land Surveyor, you will mentor staff on surveying standards, QA/QC, and state requirements while maintaining clear client communication and delivering accurate plats and drawings for critical infrastructure

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor with proven field project leadership.
• Experience supervising technicians on large-scale survey projects.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Ability to coordinate with project managers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Surveyors, and other teams to complete projects according to the established scope and schedule.
• Supervise technicians and field crews working on large-scale land surveying projects.
• Serve as a primary client contact and maintain clear communication throughout the project.
• Review, sign, and seal plats, drawings, and other survey deliverables.
• Mentor and train technicians on state surveying requirements, technical standards, and QA/QC procedures.
• Perform additional duties that support the company’s projects and strategic goals
