Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a survey crew chief or survey instrument operator.
• Proficiency with total stations, GPS equipment, and surveying instruments.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and maximize crews.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center or similar software.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage survey crews in the field to complete boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
• Plan and organize survey activities, determining methods and equipment for each project.
• Operate and oversee the use of total stations, GPS, and other instruments.
• Collect accurate field data and document project deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and team members to meet requirements.
• Maintain safety standards and compliance on job sites.
• Keep thorough field notes and project documentation.
• Mentor and train junior crew members.
• Stay current on new technologies, industry trends, and regulations.
