Job summary

McShane Construction Company is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead on-site construction efforts, coordinating subcontractors and field staff to meet schedule, budget and quality targets. You will ensure safety, review drawings, and communicate with project stakeholders to keep projects on track.

The role requires 7+ years in construction management, strong scheduling skills, and proficiency with Salus, PlanGrid and MS Project/Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Construction Management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, design consultants and trade partners.
• Proficiency with construction management software including Salus, PlanGrid and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience scheduling projects in MS Project or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specs and safety regulations.
• Prepare and maintain a 4–6 week look ahead schedule.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, material deliveries and equipment to optimize workflow.
• Monitor progress and prepare daily reports on work performed and site conditions.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct site inspections to mitigate hazards.
• Communicate with superintendents, project managers, clients, architects and engineers to align on goals.
• Manage on-site personnel, assign tasks, provide guidance and evaluate performance.
• Review drawings and project docs to guide construction activities.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and regulatory codes.
• Facilitate project meetings and participate in progress reviews with clients.
• Identify project risks and propose solutions to stay on track.
