Job summary

Linde Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician to join our team. You will lead regional plant maintenance activities, supervise technicians, and ensure safety, reliability and compliance across multiple sites.

Responsibilites include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, planning outages, and coordinating resources for audits. The role requires technical experience with air separation plant technology and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a technical field preferred.
Experience with air separation plant technology, compressors, pumps, motors, valves, transmitters, analyzers or process/manufacturing operations.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Background in instrumentation including measuring, controlling, and analyzing variables with specialized devices.
Proficiency with Human Machine Interface (HMI) and programmable logic controller (PLC) process control systems.
Able to manage time independently and allocate resources across multiple plant sites.
Available for on-call duty during weekdays and weekends, with most on-call work remotely and some on-site responses.
Physically capable of lifting at least 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with management, plant technicians, Technical Support Engineers, and the Equipment Reliability Group to meet goals.
Lead safety, quality, operations and compliance at regional plant locations.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and calibrate industrial plant equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve plant process and operational issues.
Lead plant technicians to manage site operations, ensuring production specs, reliability and admin requirements.
Plan and execute maintenance outages and coordinate resources for maintenance and audits.
Interpret process and instrumentation diagrams and complete self-directed training on air separation processes.
Oversee maintenance budgets, project cost proposals and customer billing, maintaining a safe, clean, organized facility.
