Lead Field Service Technician - HVAC DDC Automation - 5K Sign on Bonus

As a Lead Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will utilize your expertise in Building Automation Systems Programming & Commissioning to guide and oversee our Field Service team. Your responsibilities include providing technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring successful implementation of Building Automation Systems. Your skills will drive customer satisfaction, business growth, and operational success.

You will perform on-site installation, servicing, and repair of complex equipment independently, following detailed work instructions and collaborating with Engineering teams to update documentation. You will also improve training materials, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, train customers, and represent Honeywell at industry conferences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in on-site walk-throughs, commissioning, and customer training.
  2. Support installation, start-up, commissioning, and system programming.
  3. Oversee installation of controls systems for various equipment.
  4. Resolve technical problems and develop system integrations.
  5. Create graphical displays for system monitoring and control.
  6. Perform system backups, updates, and patches.
  7. Apply knowledge of virtual machines, imaging, and networking, with certifications if required.
  8. Complete documentation of work and adhere to safety protocols.
  9. Assist with design, estimating, and installation of building automation systems.
Benefits

Honeywell offers a competitive salary ($84,500 - $104,000), comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Salary offers are based on experience and qualifications.

Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years in Building Automation Systems Programming & Commissioning
  • Ability to work independently 75% of the time
  • Willingness to travel within the service area, with occasional overnight stays
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience programming systems like Tridium, Niagara N4, BACnet, LON, Modbus
  • Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, CCNA, Security+, CISSP, Python, Power BI, etc.
