Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is actively seeking a Service Manager to lead our field service team at a premier construction machinery dealership in Texas, USA.

You will be the technical expert for engineers and customers, ensuring safe operation and high availability of heavy plant and recycling equipment. You will drive safety, quality, and warranty recovery while guiding engineers and service admins.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical management or supervisory role.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with heavy plant machinery (materials movers, excavators).
• Ability to diagnose and categorize technical mechanical issues over the phone.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends or after-hours to support clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach field service engineers and service administrators.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for clients, engineers, and OEMs to solve complex machinery issues.
• Drive a safety-first culture and run regular quality checks and audits on field repairs.
• Oversee daily invoicing, manage work-in-progress (WIP), and maximize warranty and customer cost recovery.
• Collaborate with sales for equipment upgrades and work closely with OEMs on product improvements.
