Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions seeks a General Foreman in Chattanooga, TN to supervise rigging services for on-site and mobile customers and to lead field crews with safety and quality in mind.

The role requires coordinating activities, training staff, maintaining equipment, and communicating job scope and progress to management. Occasional travel to job sites is required, with a strong emphasis on customer service and compliance with MEI standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years' foreman experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, or schematics.
• Bilingual English/Spanish helpful but not required.
• Proficient math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; geometry basics.
• Basic computer knowledge; Windows and MS Office; able to learn company software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise rigging and crating tasks to meet job specs.
• Ensure all MEI and customer requirements are followed.
• Work under pressure while coordinating activities.
• Assist with hands-on training for staff.
• Promote teamwork and cooperation within and between crews.
• Establish performance expectations and review work at various stages.
• Maintain tools, gauges, and equipment safely and properly.
• Represent MEI professionally with a customer-service focus.
• Travel to job sites frequently and oversee personnel.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
