Job summary

Matrix Service Co is seeking a Field QA/QC Inspector to lead quality control activities on Wilmington, CA projects. The role requires inspecting, documenting, and reporting on work performed by Matrix NAC personnel and subcontractors under the QA/QC Manager.

The position is on-site at job sites in Wilmington, CA, with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include leading on-site QC for QMS/PQP, supervising QC/NDE staff, daily inspections, NCR drafting, and training welders/NDE personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum required inspection knowledge and ability to read and interpret QMS/PQP documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reporting.
• Commitment to safety and quality control on high-hazard field projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC presence on site for QMS and project PQP.
• Supervise QC/NDE personnel and coordinate inspections.
• Perform daily material/workmanship inspections and report findings.
• Document Non-Conformance Reports and corrective actions.
• Provide training for Welders and NDE staff; oversee qualification testing.
