Job summary

SGS in Savannah, GA is seeking a Field Inspector Supervisor to lead a team of inspectors and ensure adherence to procedures. You will observe sampling of vessels, railcars, trucks, and stockpiles and train staff on approved methods and SOPs.

You will champion health and safety practices, coordinate materials and supplies, and prepare reports while maintaining equipment and following QC standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Post-Secondary Education in a Science related program is a strong asset.
• Over 3 years’ experience in a related industry is a strong asset.
• Over 3 years supervisory experience would be an asset; strong leadership shown.

Responsibilities

• Supervise work activities and lead a team of Field Inspectors to ensure procedures are followed.
• Observe sampling of vessels, railcars, trucks, and stockpiles following established protocols.
• Train Field Inspectors according to approved methods and SOPs.
• Champion & Train field inspectors on the use of Health & Safety and Reporting systems.
• Requisition materials and supplies for operations.
• Prepare and review reports.
• Ensure work practices and field inspections meet QC standards and SOPs.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and record calibrations.
• Follow all company health, safety and environmental policies.
