Lumen is seeking a Field Engineering Quality Control Engineer to oversee quality assurance for government program deployments, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements across infrastructure projects.

You will lead inspections, coordinate audits, and drive corrective actions while collaborating with internal teams and customer QC personnel to uphold high quality and on-time project delivery.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with Inside Plant infrastructure, design principles, construction practices, and installation methods.
• Experience supporting site surveys, ISP design, equipment installation, and infrastructure implementation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules, and deliverables.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and related business applications.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the primary interface between customer Quality Control representatives and internal engineering organizations regarding infrastructure quality and compliance.
• Establish and maintain relationships with customer QC teams to align on standards, inspection requirements, and resolutions.
• Provide technical guidance during site evaluations, audits, and inspections.
• Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate quality control site visits to customer network locations and Lumen facilities.
• Lead pre-inspection and deployment readiness meetings to ensure site configurations and standards are understood.
• Assist field teams with real-time identification and resolution of quality issues to minimize delays.
• Partner with Field Engineering leadership to develop and enhance QC procedures and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve installation quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify recurring quality trends and recommend corrective actions to reduce deficiencies.
• Document inspection findings, deficiencies, and compliance risks to Field Engineering and stakeholders.
