Scope Of Position: As a Lead Field Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through the field commissioning of building automation systems created specifically for each customer. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, customer-focused team member who acts as a role model for other field engineers. Your responsibilities include solving complex problems, training less experienced engineers, and serving as a product and technical expert in the field.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
2. Serve as the local contact for technical issues.
3. Offer effective solutions for complex system issues.
4. Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects.
5. Ensure proper operation of systems, including controls, sensors, and software.
6. Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
7. Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
8. Communicate and document project status and details for the customer.
9. Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

Required Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. 4+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
3. Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet and lift items up to 50 lbs.
4. Valid driver’s license and insurable by the company’s insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or technical/business school certificate in HVAC, Controls, or related field.
2. Proficiency with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
3. Ability to navigate and integrate various building automation systems.
4. Expertise with TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology.
5. Experience managing multiple challenges across disciplines.
6. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
7. Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
8. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
