Job summary

Town of Blacksburg seeks a Site, Field, and Court Supervisor to oversee participants, parents and coaches at an assigned location. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of supervision and sports/recreation experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Check fields/courts for safety hazards and maintenance needs to ensure readiness for use.
• Lead and model professional behavior for participants, parents, and staff.
• Communicate effectively with parents, coaches and participants.
• Prepare written accident and incident reports.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the location.
• Monitor participants and attendees, and deescalate incidents.
• Substitute for sports officials, scorekeepers, or clock keepers as needed.
• Distribute and collect Parks and Recreation equipment and information.
