Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC is seeking a skilled Control Systems Technician to support control system projects and service teams. You will travel to client locations for installations, maintenance, or repairs of control systems, collaborating with project leads and supervisors.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in the field, AVEVA System Platform experience, and a proven track record in installation, start-up, and commissioning of control systems. Growth and ongoing training are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate in Applied Science or Associate in Science in Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems Technology, relevant curriculum, or experience.
• Typically, 2+ years industry experience.
• Proven Track Record: 2+ years as Control System Technician or equivalent.
• AVEVA System Platform and/or Operations Management Interface experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with AVEVA Historian and related AVEVA technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist and be self-sufficient in project installation, start-up and commissioning of control systems.
• Perform instrument loop checks and calibrations.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
• Lead and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Wire instruments and control panels.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of HMI and PLC applications.
• Proficient with startup and troubleshooting of HMI applications.
• Proficient with startup and troubleshooting of PLC applications.
• Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Document work performed.
• Understand basic control system design.
• Understand IT system, network infrastructure related to control system integration.
• Seek accredited control systems certifications and training opportunities.
