Job summary

Comlink Solutions is seeking a working supervisor for the fiber splicing team to coordinate field splicing activities, manage jobs, and interface with customer contacts.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in splicing, leadership experience, proficiency with Fujikura fusion splicing and OTDR equipment, and strong communication skills, with the ability to travel between worksites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated work experience in splicing, testing, and troubleshooting fiber networks.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams effectively
• Expert level communication skills, verbal and written
• Expert knowledge of Fujikura fusion splicing equipment
• Expert knowledge using OTDR
• Knowledge of Google Earth files
• Knowledge of Fast Reporter software
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities of splicing teams, fostering a cohesive team and development.
• Coordinate work orders and schedules for local fiber splicing technicians.
• Interface with customers to discuss job requirements and resolve issues.
• Interpret splicing documents and network designs for each assignment.
• Oversee field jobs to ensure on-time, safe, and quality completion.
• Support bidding and quoting for future projects.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment schedules and perform routine maintenance.
• Assist HR with recruiting and performance management.
