Job summary

Canyon Falls Farm is seeking an experienced Mechanic Lead to join our farm shop team. The role directs daily maintenance operations, coordinates work, and develops team capability while remaining hands-on.

Based on a regular farm/ranch schedule of 40-60 hours per week, the position requires 5+ years of advanced experience and supervisory skills, with strong planning and safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience including leadership or supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• First Aid and CPR.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, and prioritize daily work based on operational needs.
• Monitor progress and adjust workloads to reduce downtime.
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of repairs.
• Provide hands-on support for complex diagnostics and repairs.
• Enforce standard troubleshooting and repair practices.
• Train, coach, and develop Mechanic I-III team members.
• Provide input on performance, skill gaps, and development plans.
• Coordinate with supervisors on priorities and equipment status.
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance tracking.
• Support parts/inventory coordination.
• Enforce and promote safety culture and compliance.
