Job summary

Decatur Morgan Hospital is seeking a Family Medicine Residency Program Director to lead a growing residency program in Decatur, Alabama. This full-time physician leadership role will guide curriculum, recruitment, and resident development within a supportive community hospital setting.

The successful candidate will oversee accreditation activities and collaborate with the hospital, medical staff and local physicians to train exceptional family physicians who stay and serve the community.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited program and board certification in Family Medicine.
• Alabama medical licensure or eligibility required.
• Minimum five years of post-residency clinical experience.
• Three years of educational or administrative leadership in graduate medical education.
• A passion for teaching, mentoring and physician development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Family Medicine Residency Program at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
• Oversee curriculum, clinical rotations, faculty development and resident assessment.
• Ensure accreditation readiness and compliance while mentoring residents and faculty.
