Job summary

Scottsdale USD 48 District Wide is seeking a Facilities Services Specialist - Irrigation to lead maintenance and repairs across district buildings and grounds. The role requires journey-level skilled trades and the ability to train staff while ensuring safety and compliance with drawings, blueprints, and records.

The position involves responding to emergencies, supervising prioritization of work, and maintaining inventories and tools.

Qualifications

Vocational Degree and four years of specialized trades experience directly related to the area of assignment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Licensing requirements may include: CFC, Pesticide Applicator License, CDL Class A, ASE Certifications, or licensure in a trade.

Responsibilities

Lead lower level staff: prioritize and assign work, monitor performance, train staff and participate in evaluations.
Repair and regulate district buildings, fixtures, systems, facilities, and grounds; respond to emergencies and safety concerns.
Install, modify, or repair a variety of materials, fixtures, and equipment.
Inspect facilities and ensure periodic servicing; prepare work orders and maintain drawings and blueprints.
