Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking incumbents for journey level skilled trades including mechanics, electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, locksmiths, irrigation, painters, and carpenters. Lead and train other staff while maintaining drawings, specs, blueprints, and records.

The role requires vocational training with four years of trades experience; valid AZ driver's license; and ability to read blueprints and perform repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance across district

Qualifications

• Vocational Degree with four years of specialized trades experience or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Acts as lead to lower level staff, assigns work and trains on methods.
• Repairs and regulates district buildings, systems, etc., and responds to emergencies.
• Installs and modifies materials, fixtures, or equipment.
• Inspects facilities and ensures servicing occurs.
• Prepares daily work orders and maintains records and specifications.
• Maintains and purchases supplies, equipment, and tools.
