Job summary

Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician III to join the Facilities Management team at the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center in Columbus.

This advanced role maintains, diagnoses, and repairs complex mechanical and building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, with limited supervision. The position requires expertise in building automation, energy-management systems, and a strong ability to lead maintenance projects while

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
5–7 years of progressive commercial or institutional facilities maintenance experience.
Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting of complex mechanical and building systems.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Independently perform advanced maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
Troubleshoot complex building-system problems and determine repairs or adjustments.
Lead assigned maintenance and repair projects, planning work and coordinating resources.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical specifications.
Respond to service requests with repair plans and timelines.
