Job summary

The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician II to join our Facilities Management team at the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center in Columbus, OH. The role covers maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks across a large Class A high-rise facility.

This non-exempt, unclassified position reports to the Maintenance Coordinator. A strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently are required; on-call rotation and safety compliance are integral to the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and other building systems.
• Toubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs up to 480 volts.
• Perform plumbing repairs and installations.
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial appliances and building equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify equipment problems before failures.
• Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
• Assist with operation and troubleshooting of building systems including DDC controls, hydronic systems, boilers, A/C, fire alarm systems, and sprinkler systems.
• Perform carpentry repairs including doors, locks, closers, hinges, drywall, ceilings, and partitions.
