Job summary

Compal USA Technology Inc. in Hutto, TX is seeking a Lead, Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform maintenance of building systems, utilities, and production infra at the manufacturing facility.

You will ensure safe, reliable operations by overseeing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. You will lead maintenance activities, coordinate with vendors, maintain CMMS records, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 7+ years of facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems (CMMS).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond to urgent maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.
• Support production by maintaining critical utilities and responding to facility-related service requests.
• Monitor and maintain building systems (power distribution, lighting, environmental controls).
• Assist with installation, modification, and relocation of equipment and workstations.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation in CMMS or other tracking systems.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Support emergency response efforts related to facility systems (power outages, leaks).
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, energy efficiency, and cost savings.
