Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC is seeking a Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of our Phoenix facilities. The role blends maintenance and engineering duties to keep equipment reliable, safe, and energy-efficient while reducing costs.

Key responsibilities include inspecting and repairing mechanical/electrical components, diagnosing issues, ordering parts, and maintaining records. Strong safety focus and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • 5+ years of maintenance or related field experience.
  • Strong knowledge of standard maintenance concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Proficient reading blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
  • Experience with CNC machinery operation, diagnostics and repair.
  • Vacuum furnaces experience is a plus.
  • Physical ability to perform duties including lifting and working at heights.

Job description

As a Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will have the crucial role of leading a seamless operation and upkeep of our organization's physical facilities. Your role encompasses both maintenance and engineering expertise, ensuring that facilities remain well-maintained, safe, and energy-efficient while optimizing operational processes. Your strategic planning, technology utilization, and attention to detail will not only enhance the longevity of our facilities assets but also minimize operational costs and environmental impact.

In this role, you are responsible for the repair, maintenance, and testing of mechanical equipment, machinery, and their associated electrical components. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical components of machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose issues and identify parts for replacement; order parts as needed.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Follow detailed instructions and established procedures to complete tasks.
  • Work independently or collaboratively as part of a maintenance team.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, and LOTO/LTT protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the maintenance field.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with CNC Machinery operation, diagnostics and repair.
  • Experience with Vacuum Furnaces is a plus.
  • Must be physically capable of performing job duties, including:
  • Sitting, standing, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
  • Working at heights above 4 feet.
  • Operating in hot and cold environments.
  • Lifting up to 35 lbs.
