Lead Facilities Engineer

Since 2013, our site Unither Manufacturing LLC, based in Rochester (NY), specializes in the manufacture of Blow-Fill-Seal, Liquid Stick-Packs, Pharmaceutical bottles, Tablets, and Capsules. It has more than 280 employees.

Your role

Reporting to the Director - Site Strategic Programs,

  1. Team Management: Guide and manage the team, ensure training and authorizations are up-to-date, manage schedules, conduct evaluations, define priorities, and develop team skills and autonomy.
  2. Budget and Reporting: Monitor and report on budgets, project progress, investment commitments, and overheads. Propose adjustments as needed.
  3. Technical and Project Management: Engage with suppliers, organize specifications, manage tenders, ensure solutions meet specifications, execute projects within deadlines and budget, coordinate with external companies, and manage commissioning activities.
  4. Commissioning and Training: Oversee installation and commissioning, ensure safety compliance, resolve technical issues, communicate with production, assist in commissioning, and participate in operator training.
  5. Technical Needs and Documentation: Study technical requirements for new investments, participate in project groups, collect and analyze needs, define solutions, ensure compliance, and update documentation.
  6. Specific Skills: Ability to develop engineering solutions, troubleshoot, knowledge of equipment operation and validation, project management skills, and familiarity with cGMP requirements.
Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Relevant experience with at least 5 years in manufacturing or equipment/packaging technology, preferably in regulated (FDA) environments. Supervisory experience is a plus.

Compensation range

$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD

*The compensation range is indicative; actual salary will depend on experience, education, and other factors.
