Job summary

Virgin Galactic is seeking a Facilities Electrician, Specialist to own the reliability, safety, and code compliance of complex electrical systems at the Gateway to Space facility. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with vendors, and lead preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure safe operations.

Your role includes testing, documentation, and collaboration with site leadership on capital projects, with a 1st shift schedule and potential overtime for critical work.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related electrical work experience.
• Certified journeyman or master electrician license is required.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or providing technical direction to junior electricians or technicians.
• Ability to read operation manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Own the performance, reliability, and code compliance of complex electrical systems.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to junior electricians and technicians.
• Lead inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with codes.
• Plan and oversee layout and installation of wiring and equipment.
• Develop PM schedules and verify completion and quality.
