Job summary

Girls Inc. PNW seeks a Lead Facilitator to deliver programming for Girls Groups in the Portland metro area, up to 25 hours per week. The role focuses on daytime and after‑school sessions at 3 school sites, with training and support for other Facilitators.

The position runs September 2026 through June 2027 as a seasonal site-based role, requiring strong group facilitation, collaboration with the Program Manager, and the ability to travel between sites and lift materials as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with groups of youth as a facilitator.
• At least 1 year of experience providing training and coaching to youth program professionals or facilitators.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and sites seamlessly and to delegate effectively.
• Highly detailed and adept at cross team collaboration with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledgeable about best-practices in group facilitation and quality youth development programming.

Responsibilities

• Report in-person to programming sites and prepare for each session, including planning and gathering supplies.
• Facilitate group discussions ensuring participation from all youth.
• Deliver high-impact, engaging sessions to maximize learning.
• Adapt programming and facilitation style as needed during sessions.
