Job summary

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, is seeking a skilled Fabricator to manufacture and assemble items according to drawings and work orders. You will prepare orders for shipment and analyze production data to improve processes.

Experience with fabrication equipment and strong attention to quality are essential. You will mentor junior staff, follow safety policies, and contribute to on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs in a physical environment.

Responsibilities

• Examine specifications of the customer's order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
• Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.
• Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure quality.
• Follows company safety policies and procedures.
• Coaches and trains lower-level fabricators on the proper execution of duties, ensures policies and procedures are followed.

Job Summary

Fabricators manufacture assorted products using various raw materials, tools and their own hands. Manufacture customized products that meet customer specifications and prepare completed orders for shipment. Analyzes capacity and production data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources. Resolves issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations. Ensures quality control standards are maintained.
