Job summary

This hands-on role supports fabrication activities, from interpreting drawings to selecting materials and machine setup. You will work in a team to meet specifications, operate hand tools, and help with packaging for shipping while keeping the work area clean and compliant with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable in a temperature-varied environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment assessments.
• Experience with steel pipe fabrication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examines specifications of the customer's order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
• Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.
• Operating hand tools, making cuts, threads, and grooving pipe
• Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.
• Packages for shipping. Installs protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
• Follows company safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable working in a temperature-varied environment
• List up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to pass pre-employment assessments

Preferably, YOU have:

• Metal work experience
• Experience with fabrication shop equipment
• Steel Pipe Fabrication (Cutting, Threading, Grooving, Welding, etc.) experience, preferred but not required
• Fire Protection experience is a bonus

Pay: $16.14 to $21.51 per hour
